Walks, mountains & forests

Rein's coming home! :D Hooray! He's on his way, and I'm making taco. Feeling abit sick, but it'll hopefully pass. Been well for a pretty long time now, probably means my immune-system's getting stronger. So working in a kindergarten is both bad and good ;)

Here are some photos from my easter-holidays at Karmøy and Ålgård:

 We went to Sålefjell, Karmøy:

And to Månafossen/Månaseter, Gjesdal:

Into the Forest

 Good evening

View from our balcony.

Finally learned how to make fishbone-braids! :D Bad photo, hard getting the focus right without anywhere to put the camera for using the self-timer. And it's my very first french-braided fishbone-braid, so it's not very good, but still! And since my hair is so damn sleek and slippery, strands just start slipping out after just a five-minutes time.

Been alone here since easter now, which is about a week. Feels much longer. Mood's been strange and changing, had my ups and downs during the last couple of days. Probably had too much to think about, and decisions to be made. Did I mention we've been offered to buy the house after Rein's parents? They're gonna build a new house someplace near. And I've been applying for different schools! All kinds really. Deadline last night, excited. Applied many places; Oslo, Stavanger, Trondheim and Bergen. I can change the priorities of my choices till the 1st of July.

This was my food today! So full, was really nice. Planned on cooking something simple after work, but ended up spending alot of time on this.

Rein will probably be home tomorrow or on wednesday! :D Looking forward to it!

I went for a walk in the forest yesterday, even did some meditating amongst the trees, just me and them.

Will add some more photos soon. Nighty.

Stupid video! Help?

Any germans in here who'd like a translating-task? ;p Got this video, and I know it exists with english commentary (saw it last night on viasat history norway), but I just can't find it. Only in german. And I can't figure out how to translate it. There's no cc-button either -.- So if anyone reads this and wants to help, I'd be so glad ^^

Easter holidays!

Happy holidays! I'm at mum's now, left Bergen yesterday. The agency didn't call me, so I just decided to take a little vacation ;) Haven't done anything today (yet), except from eating this tasty breakfast with fresh herbs (some are actually from mum's garden), photographing it and posting it here ;p Useful. There's actually a blue sky today, and the sun struggles to smelt away the leftovers after yesterday's snow. The weather's been absolutely wicked during the last couple of days! With snow, hail, rain, sun and wind. As strange as it gets. So during March we had 20 degrees celsius and sunshine, and once the months turn to April, the snow and cold comes back.. Hopefully todays sun is the start of the REAL spring. Feel sorry for all the sprouts and birds.

In Norway, the celebration of Easter usually just involves daffodils, eggs, chocolate, chickens, sprouts, walks in the mountains & skiing. As we all know though, the Easter symbolises Jesus, and how he supposedly died on the cross for the salvation of humanity. To me, as a non-christian, Easter is just about spring (in addition to the chocolate) ;) I do believe there once was a man named Jesus, who did marvellous things. Maybe even an illusionist or a mage. But I don't see him as the christians see him.  Still, I pay my respect during both christmas and easter, to all who suffered. Crosses or not. If there was a guy named Jesus, I feel sorry for him if he suffered. But no less do I feel for the others. Actually, when I googled the word "easter", I got two options; "easter" or "christian easter". We're weak for traditions.
I celebrate a new beginning; nature and life.

These are my mountains; Høvringen, Rondane, Norway. We could almost say I grew up there. I was born in Lillehammer, which is only two hours away, and we have a family-cabin there, a hundred years old. We used to go here for our Easter-holidays when I was a child. Memories. You can see it in the background here;

This one's really old, but it was the best I could find atm. Got other photos on my extern drive, which lies in Bergen..
